I hope these show the coin better? The luster is there, sadly using my microscope camera will not show the luster. It will show no dipping marks or lines from cleaning. The coin came from my grandfathers collection, which I have many wonderful samples of U.S.A. coins.everything from rare early silver dollars also Morgans to rare starred reverse large cents along with all types of pennies made up through the 1700 and 1800's. Cans full of capped, draped bust half dollars. Gold $1.00,$2.50,$5.00,$10.00 and double eagles.I am just trying to figure out which one's are worth grading. The one's I have graded so far grade between MS64 AND MS66 with PL,DMPL.

Very nice, V nicks are a favorite of mine.

Try using one or two LED flashlights with the LEDs off on the scope and any incandescent lamps off in the room. Position the LEDs at 180 degrees across and at about a 45 degree angle to coin surface. I use a modified scope setup, extended shaft to get full size coins, and two clip on LED goosenecks, works well for me, including getting the cartwheel luster effect. Works good on shooting through plastic too.
