AU details, but ICCS never uses the term and they completely disregard any surface issues. I will say again, the H's were handpunched, so there are mintmarks all over ... up, down, left, right and none are discernable as to how high is high or how low is low, etc.

They lowered the grade because of the cleaning. Most TPG's wouldn't have given it a grade ... only that it's genuine and with "details"

Thank you all for your comments.
Really glad for the response's and views on
"net grading" . I have a much better understanding
of the practice which at first I was dead set against
but I see ( at least think I do ) now why it occurs .
Also I found an old thread that mentions net grading with this link http://victorialargecents.blogspot.com/
that "Bill in Burl" says is a must read .
I did and it still is .
Net grading I think has become a practice because of the times we live .
Also I think that my coin is an example of it .I think that ICCS in there own way is just trying to
save people from paying too much for a coin.
Putting "AU details" still leaves the door open for an AU price . All IMHO of course.
Sorry for the diatribe and thx again

"Dan in Crystal Lake" is/was a good friend of mine and a primo collector of Vicky large cent varieties. Folks should read the rest of his blogs and research articles. He was one of the co-authors with me and the other 3 when we wrote the Variety section for the 2011 65th Charlton guide. He dropped out of things a couple years ago, but will be coming back soon. BTW, okiecoiner and Bill in Burl are one in the same person.
