This looks like a 1995 Fort Worth note. Does it have the small 295 back plate number?

The title says "Reverse Washington $1 Error" but we only have a picture of the obverse.

Wow! Wouldn't have seen that unless someone pointed it out. I've never seen an error like that before. Hoping one of the note experts here can shed some more light on it.

Perhaps it was counterfeited in Brazil?

Did you get it there or pick it up on your travels?

Ummm yeah, that would pretty much be an impossible error considering that A BEP employee would have to engrave a printing plate with Washington facing left, then it would have to pass BEP inspection procedures, and then any notes printed with the left facing plate would have to pass through more inspections. I just do not see any possible way for that to be a legitimate error note.

I was thinking the same thing. When the note first went up I was looking at the date and serial number and didn't even notice the potrait. Is the paper thicker at the portrait? I have seen novelty notes where they glue another person on the note. Maybe this one is similar.
