Hi All,
I was going through my collection of 1925 Pennies and found a broken "n" variety.
I must admit I do not know a hell of a lot about them apart from how they became this way.
Does anyone know the mintage of this variety?
Also in your opinion what kind of premium does this varity display over the normal 1925 penny?
If anyone wants a picture let me know and I will post it.
Cheers, lars

Lars... Bluesfil (member here as well)and compassnorth are two collectors, who are tops when it comes to predecimal varieties. Perhaps bluesfil may respond to your query here, if not, I would suggest you raise this in the predecimal section of the Aussie Forum.

SETS, You got SETS of the 25? How about the 30's? You got them as well? I have been watching the 25's for about two months now hoping to finally get a good buy on ebay but thus far NO LUCK! I am a patient man and still pursuing those key dates or sets that all the Aussies keep tempting me with! So many coins, so little time!

Hey Lim you would think so?
Crystalk64 I am not rich enough for the 1930. I now only own 3 x 1925 the ones in better grades. The rest I had to sell.

Sorry I was going to add that it is a good time to be buying the 1925 pennies as they are well priced for the buyers.

Just checked the E-bay link, still rolling on the floor from loughing, boy they realy have nice listings for dutch notes, the 10 gulden there in that condition would do abouth 5 euro at it's best, shipping included *LOL*
The German notes offered there you find here so often that you can use them to wipe off the....., those people really have humor!!
If those are the prices they spend for it down under, give me a contact there, and we split 50/50, so I can buy a new car in december :-)
Greetings, Carl

Oh, so Carl is teaming up with the Aussies to form a new business! Great idea Carl! I often think about the Aussies paying $1.50 to $2.50 for new Statehood Quarters when I get them by the roll at .35 each! All they have to do is ask and they are headed for Australia! Even with shipping charges they could still make a mint off of my .35 unc. quarters! I don't mind sharing a little good fortune world wide as it will benefit all of us in the end!

Carl I am glad you liked my listings. I am fully aware that the 5 and 10 gulden in their home country are not rare. However have a look at ebay.com and tell me how many you find? That goes for the German notes aswell.

I just did my sums Carl.
If I was to get $15 for a 10 Gulden and you get them for about $8. Thats $7 profit minus bank fees and international shipping and then splitting the profit?
There isn't much there to buy a car.....or do they give them away over there. Hahahaha
Now I am the one rolling around laughing....thankyou.

Maybe their on a break, I might just wait a bit longer. Bluesfil did educate me on two other varities within the 1925 penny.
I will wait and enjoy the music.

I tried to buy some Netherland notes a few months ago (had specific ones in mind at the time) and all I FINALLY manged to locate was one note, which I bought, and then moved back into the world of coins where I actually know a little something! Pickings were pretty slim back then for Netherlands! So now I am back on a Netherlands gold and silver Ducat kick! Waiting on the new 2005s from a collector in the Netherlands right now (aren't we Mike?) and scanning ebay daily for a steal, so to speak! I have only seen one silver proof ducat on ebay in the last few years over here and by golly it lives here with me now! The gold is by far easier to find!

Terry,
i can order the silver ducats here easy, if I can help you out with those?, I don't collect them myself, neighterthe golden once, I see them as trade coinage, so not as payment (what I collect myself), but it's no problem to ge them here.
KLD, I think I can do so, a brand new Kia Picanto kost less then 9000 euro so..... (now who is loughing!?!?)
Greetings, Carl
