No date but a far off-center uncirculated Washington. I measure the percentage off and don't guess at them. This one was 18.0mm/23.9mm. No Date Washington quarter Off Center 75%

Certainly worth more than 25¢. It's one of those things that would be worth even more if the date was there.
How much is it worth? I don't know since I'm not into error coins.

What's up with the bizarre smear of heavy polishing on the obverse?... how does one polish only a small part of a coin that hard anyways?

I've seen that polished area on other off-center coins. Would love to know what causes it.

Nice error but how in the heck does that fit in a roll of Quarters ? I know it's like that until it gets to the distributors ,but then the distributors roll them and send them to different banks . Unless I'm missing something it just doesn't make sense how people find these kind of errors . I guess you can tell I'm not an error collector .

Quote: how in the heck does that fit in a roll of Quarters ? If I venture to guess, it would be Two sources of distribution that I can think of: 1- Mint employee assisted or 2- Found in distribution centers after getting rejected by rolling machines and then sold off to whole sale buyers! that would be my guess.

It's also possible to find these in a mint sewn bag of Quarters. It's pretty rare to find them in there, but it does happen sometimes.

A note about these coins got into collector hands.
My aunt was in upper management at a bank. Back in the day coins were ordered from the mint and arrived to the bank in bags. There was $1000 in quarters, $50 in cents. I am not sure of all the denominations. My aunt made sure that she was the one to open the bags. The bank was responsible for rolling the coins. My aunt had a bowl of these off center coins setting on the dresser in here house that sehe pull from the original bags.
