1944 D Mercury Dime Possible Error?

ssheridan1977 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 10/09/2018 1:51 pm I have a 1944 D Mercury dime that is in almost mint condition. I have a question if somebody could help me with. I am no expert at all when it comes to errors on coins and grading coins, etc. My 1944 dime had a strange mark on the second 4 of 1944 and I am unsure what this is from. Also I was told that the more defined that the bands are on the back side of the coin the more it is worth. Could anybody give me any help or information about this coin and what it truly is worth.
