Yes it's an error.

Is my coin worth getting certified, etc. etc. .....is it going to be worth a lot more if I do these things? And how do I know what to sell it for , or where to start for that matter, if I can't find another one to compare it to? Sorry, I'm new to all of this. Please bear with me.

Certainly not worth getting certified.
It would cost more than the coin is worth.
I read on another site that the Volunteer Dime
is noted for minor errors so I can't see where their
is much value in one. Don't really know where you would sell
it as a coin shop would not be interested so you would have
to find someone that collects dimes with minor errors.
I would just put it in a 2x2 and keep in your collection.

Don't certify. Why spend $40 on a coin that will only be worth $1 in its lifetime?

Because of the honest and genuine replies I have received here at CANADIAN COIN COMMUNITY, I think I am just going to post pictures up and hopefully generate some input about whether any of my coins have any significance to them.

We are always glad to see pictures of potential errors
or other anomalies.
Make sure you post each coin under its own thread.
