Have a chance to pull the trigger on this E/A CBHD, but the slate gray toning looks too "complete". Original or enhanced.

IMO it's been stored long ago and for a long time, probably under a less than desirable conditions.
I think it's legit and just overly toned.
This is where eye appeal factors into the price.

Love the obverse strike. This is one of those coins I'd have to see in hand and in different light.

Looks natural to me, may have been stored in an old leather pouch for many years.

looks natural to me. if if was cleaned it was a long long time ago and has fully recovered from it. mid-AU coin (AU55) with a fairly weak reverse strike

Hmm... looks legit to me. The whiteness under the letters in USA bothers me though. Could have been covered but the color difference makes me wonder.
