hi , I would like to purchase a couple , 2008 Bald Eagle Proof Silver Dollar. I called the mint to find out the silver amount in the coin. She told me 90% silver and 10% alloy. She didn't know what the alloy is. I found the coin on a web site listed as 99.9 % silver. So whos right. Any of you guys buy one that has the COA to tell what is in the coin. thank you , Ken
Rest in Peace

The 99.9% is probably referring to the proof and bullion Silver Eagles

We have the commemorative 2008 Bald Eagle dollar in 90% silver/10% copper, and the American Silver Eagle series, which is a 99.99% silver bullion coin. The similarity in names can be confusing!
