Wrong forum. Need better pics, including reverse. It's 1918 S. You should get a lot of input over the proper forum with better pics. hth! :)

I agree. To make a better determination clearer pictures of the obverse and reverse are needed. Please remember, it would be labeled a "Doubled Die", not Double Die, if you want to learn the correct terms.

Better images would show us more. But if this were a double struck example, I would expect the other devices to be off set like the should area. Also the same would be true with the reverse. I'll try editing this image to see if anything else stands out?   Nothing stands out like a double struck except the shoulder. (if it were double struck all the other devices would be rotated) Like this:   But still welcome better images just incase.

if this turns out to be a true double die what would it be worth bc I see more doubling with magnification. bsorry for bad pic

It would not be a doubled die. Possible double struck. But because nothing else is showing doubling, I feel it may have been damaged. If it were double struck, then all the other devices would be affected like the images I posted above.
