Confirming A 1998 S Proof Cent With Close AM

BigSilver Pillar of the Community United States 2843 Posts	Posted 10/16/2018 6:42 pm I visited one of my regular pawnshops today. Usually nothing new to see, but today there was a bit. Must notably 3 proof sets, 1996, 1997, & 1998. I dutifully inspect the 1998 and to my shock it appears to be the Close AM variety. $10 later it was mine. I got some quick pics to have it verified by public opinion. It is nicer than the pics suggest, this is not a grading inquiry so I let them slide. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/16/2018 9:34 pm The proof coins should be Wide AM's from 1994 forward. On the 1993 coins they were all Close AM. So look for the Close AM on the 1998-S, 1999-S coins. Report this Post to the Staff
