As I'm trying to finish out my 8100. I need a microscope to get started with my roll hunting and picture taking and still not blow my budget. Looking at this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CN5NTPF If the admins need to change the link I'm good with that Also anyone use this one?

I have the one exactly pictured, the focus some time goes out of range, and it is hard to adjust without a stand, the leg doesn't give room or support when tilting down to focus on the object.
I have seen one or two with a long stand and plate, so that one maybe better.

I also have the Carson that USSID18 has but mine seems to lose color the closer I get. I also have the celestron 5mp digital https://www.amazon.com/Celestron-Ha...n+microscopeWhich is a great microscope. The only problem which is easily fixed is that the riser tube is far to short to get full pictures unless you stack some books. What I did was buy a 14" brass hobby tube from my local hardware store for about $6. Since the scope needs to be assembled the tube is easy to replace with a longer one. With the longer riser you can take full pics of Large dollars like Morgan's, Peace, Ike's.

Good idea Tootallious!
The only issue I have is dealing with light, the light coming from the USB camera distort the image somewhat, so if there was some simple solution to hook up to outside external light source, then all would be nice.

Thank you macmercury! And your right about the lighting, seems that light is our worse enemy. CrazyB0 gave me the idea of the extended brass tube. He also told me that he uses two clip on led lights as his light source. I just haven't been able to find any that work for me like I would like them to.
