1936 1966 1967 Great Britain one penny coins...they look to be in great shape. I'm new to British coinage though and would love a better educated opinion.

Would there be any point sending any of these off to get graded?

TIA

As the combined value for all three pennies would only be around £2 (GB) the answer is no.

The 1967 is in great condition, the 1966 not quite so, but so many millions bearing these dates were minted the number of uncirculated examples still available is off the scale. Dealers can't give them away.
1936 is also a very common date so uncirculated examples are readily available and can be had for a few pounds. Yours is rather worn so wouldn't be worth more than a few pence.

Enjoy them for what they are, and use the money you would have spent having them graded to buy new pieces for your collection.

Mintage figures for your pennies:
1936 154,296,000
1966 165,739,200
1967 654,564,000

I think the above price of £2 was just Hogarth being kind.
Why you asked for an opinion.... they are not worth anything, the 1936 & 1966 have been heavily polished and the 1967 you can get a mint one for a few pence. keep the coins as a comparable so you dont end up with any polished ones in the future.

Thanks Pete.

Yes, I too noticed they had been polished.
The sum of £2 was plucked from the air as I thought it more encouraging than saying they're worth nowt, but, yes, you're absolutely right, they have no value.

Much appreciated thanks guys. I do like the coins for what they are, I'll keep them in my box of coins and just enjoy them.
Thanks again!

I did not want to sound harsh but more importantly the slabbing companies would be happy for you to send them and would of been thowing your money away.
Happy collecting.

Perhaps it's just the lighting, but I would also add that the 1936 and 1966 coins appear to have been cleaned or polished - which would render any submission to the TPGs pointless.

I wish I could find the sale again but somebody had a Slabbed 1960's Half-Penny not sure of the date but some fool coughed up over $30 for it. So I guess the seller gave a great sigh of relief for breaking even lol
