So a penny produced before 1982 is worth 2.2 cents based on the metal it contains.

@Jmohler, first welcome to CCF. Second, while I agree with the others that this cent is only worth face value/melt, I'm wondering what you saw that made you think that this coin might have been worth a premium. Could you please explain what caught your eye? Thx.
