I cant say much about other experience with audio analyzer and detecting a coin on ear alone. For me I haven't come across a coin that was trying to fake a silver coin, sound exactly like a silver coin yet. I understand that some of the faker are getting clever and using tungsten carbine core or plating in silver to give an appearance of silver.
