I have been picking up a few BU Lincolns the last few months, and I have been getting some in the 30s and 40s.

Just wondering where BU's would come from?
Did people put whole rolls away in the 30's?

Seems to me a whole roll of cents in the 30's would have been quite a lot of money.

Yes. Lots of them. Banks also stashed them, and forgot; then they got released later.

To be honest, a lot of those coins aren't really worth that much or perhaps, it's a hassle selling them. I've got some Bank Rolls of nickels from the 50's. When and if I open them, what the heck am I going to do with the 32 nickels in the roll that I don't want? Yeah, I could e-bay 'em. I could take 'em to my dealer 75 miles away, but the few cents I'll make won't pay for me to buy gas to get to the gas station.....
Just easier to spend them, in SOME cases.

Thanks for responding... Kabiye_Lady, Yeah! your probably right, but I certainly like the looks of the old Lincolns, to think they are 60 or 70 years old, and in that good of a shape.

Super Dave, Just imagine whats in the back of some of those bank vaults.
