I had this coin for a long time and always figured it to be fake.

I'm curious about what it is supposed to be - if anything. And if it is indeed fake, what are the signs. My thinking is that the patination is applied and it is too round.

There aren't any apparent mold seam marks.

A tetradrachm of Caracalla from Antioch.

Yup Caracalla, but it doesn't look right to me.

I agree - a copy of a Caracalla tetradrachm.

Hi Guys

I have a similar coin and now after seeing this worried that mine is also fake as it looks very similar to this coin. Any opinion will be greatly appreciated.

Yours looks "similar" because the replica is a wax casting of a genuine coin
I see nothing particularly unusual about your coin
Don't worry ..... be happy

Yours looks much better than mine.

I can see some real differences now.
