This forum is awesome! I recently got into coin collecting and wanted to share a specimen I came across. I could use some input on this 2006 Lincoln Penny to better know what I'm looking at. Any info or thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated.

The obverse has the words "in God " stamped on the edge with the letters going backwards an and the word "god" doubled up.

I'm not sure if this is a mint error or something else. Please help!

to CCF. Sorry, but not an error. It is what is called a "vise job",it was squeezed in a bench vise with other coins.

Thanks for the kind welcome and input John. That was the same conclusion that I had come up with as well, but as they say, "you'll never know if you don't ask!" Inquiring minds NEED to know...anywho it's a pleasure to be here and this forum is such an amazing wealth of knowledge and probably centuries of collective experience which is priceless in and of itself imo. Happy hunting!

The clue that is came from another coin squeezed against it?
The rim. The rim would not be there on a double struck coin.
The mirrored devices. It this were a mint error, then they would be normal on the coin.
