Did you use the Search box in the sidebar? This question has been asked many times and if you type in 1970 Small Cents, there are photos that will show you how to tell the difference.

I didn't use the search bar on this forum, but I google'd images. It's still hard to tell with a business card and magnifying glass. All of the "7's" seem to be hanging at different levels, they don't appear uniform even on the large dates, some of them look more like small dates than others. I thought I would try to get another opinion before I threw these back in the coin tube! Quote: All large dates Thanks, but bummer! AC

It's hard to tell from the photos, but the shape of the 9 on a couple of these might (might) indicate SD. On the SD, the curl of the 9 points to the middle of the 7. On the LD, it points to the bottom of the 7. My preferred way of confirming would be that all the numerals line up at the top.
There are a couple of threads, as noted, that have good imagery showing the attributes. I know Coop has posted this several times. When you do the search you should be able to tell.

I don't think any of my 9s have pointed curls. AC

All large date ... sorry. Many (most) of us CCF veterans are weary of addressing this particular question. The suggestion to find Coop images is a good one. I understand the dilemma ... a new member would not know about Coop images ... hence the repeated drum beat of questions of 'is my 1970-S LMC a small date?' I rarely answer that question any more - but chose to do so out of respect that you took the time to photograph 11 examples .... and alas for you all are indeed Large Date.

Thank you for the friendly response. I have a tough time determining whether it's small date even with image examples. Perhaps it's because I've never seen one in real life so it hasn't clicked in my brain yet? I'm a bit embarrassed now that I've asked. Anyway, I'm thankful for such a helpful community. I tend to check in once every year or so when I'm going through my coins.

When you see the two varieties together in hand the difference will jump out, at least that is how it happened for me.

It's too hard to tell with your pic it's at an angle and a bit out of focus, take another pic looking straight down on the date.

Looking at the photos in the search forum, which do you think it is?
