Has anyone ever seen or have a picture of the error on a 1980-d with a shadow of the S mint mark above the D mark. I just need to know what I should be looking for.
Rest in Peace

Look on varietyvista.com. Unfortunately, this has been proven to be die damage that looked like an OMM. It has been debunked and is not on the OMM list anymore.

The coin was debunked as the earlier die states didn't have the appearance of the S, just later die state coins. If the mint didn't make it, then it is just a pattern the coin developed later. Not a variety as it was not hubbed/punched that way. Just a fact that if the die wasn't made that way it is not a variety.
