Please help me identify this 'clip'. Mint error or post-mint damage? My crude scale measures 3.1 grams but due to the small clip size and measuring uncertainty I haven't ruled out the clip theory. Perhaps the straight edge gives visual clues. All opinions welcome, thanks!

Looks odd, looks like it may have been clipped, but then after altered to look larger.

It is a very irregular clip and doesn't look like other clips I've seen, would like to hear expert's opinion.

Almost certainly PMD and not a legit clip. I'm seeing no Blakesley effect on the opposite rim.

To me it looks PMD and deliberate, but I'm an amateur on this subject.
