Hi everyone. Just when I think I've cracked it when it comes to identifying and dating old Indian coins, I get stuck on the detail. This is (as far as I know) a Bhopal 1/2 Anna coin (15.3g, 21 mm diameter). It seems to tick all the boxes, based on the wonderful explanations posted by drnsreedhar on this forum.
However, whereas all pictures that I've seen of these coins show the date as 12xx (such as 1286 in the example below) or 13xx, this one only seems to have the last two digits (86).
