1999 Lincoln Penny - Incomplete Planchet Or Die Grease Or ?

theking13 Valued Member United States 90 Posts	Posted 11/07/2018 11:59 am Hello, I found this penny that looked like a die grease coin. However, when I looked at the 'Trust' and the date, I noticed the font seems to be off. I turned the coin over and found the same thing. I also noticed the first and last columns look odd. I've been dinged with columns in the past, but these have more than I've seen before. Please let me know if you need a close-up picture of any area. I still think this is from die grease but not 100% sure. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/07/2018 12:02 pm Partial fill on some devices. Front and back. Possibly the die was wiped down with a cloth unevenly spreading the grease into the die. Also some Machine Doubling. But nothing special on this one. Report this Post to the Staff
