When the shape of the mint mark is not there, then it can't be from the mint mark puncheon. Report this Post to the Staff

Note it doesn't follow a mint mark puncheon. Also if it were a D/D/D, then it would have been discovered a long time ago. So I'm leaning towards a die event, rather than a die variety.
