As far as the condition there are lliterally no blemishes or ripples of any Kind. I was shocked when the guy threw the bill in as an extra. Each corner is absolutely perfect 90 degree angles. The bill looks like it was cut from
A sheet when it was made in 1973 and hasn't been touched since. I'm really amazed of the condit N.

1973 indicates the year of the original engraving.
The signatures on your note indicate it was made between 1984 and 1987.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

To TPG or not to TPG, that is the question.

I think you should treat it like you would your coins (are you accustomed to getting your coins graded?)
Other questions you might ask yourself:
What is the minimum threshold in terms of a piece's net value when you go to the trouble of submitting it to be graded? What is your intention for it (keep or sell?) Some collectors prefer raw while others prefer graded (but only by certain TPG companies) What do you do if the piece is not original (its been pressed or altered in some way)?
