Thanks for the previous thread. That's exactly what I have. I still wonder what they are worth? And is it a rare item? I can only find a couple of articles about them.

Hmm, Contact PCGS's currency grading service and ask them if it's possible to be graded... they may not because it's technically a counterfeit... but it's also something to do with war history so maybe they will... https://www.PCGScurrency.com/index.html

Here's one for sale on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/WW2-German...9f:rk:1:pf:0

http://www.psywarrior.com/WWIIGermanBanknotes.html

according to that website, the Germans had quite a few counterfeit / propaganda notes for various areas of the world... very neat!!

Also, apparently according to that website, a dealer on ebay was counterfeiting the counterfeits and reselling them, so you have to be careful... Need to inspect yours and figure out if yours is the legitimate counterfeit (lol!!)

Prices are all over the place on these notes. Looking at Heritage they have sold as low as $40.00 and as high as $150.

As noted, there are copies out there. Unless you have both a genuine and a copy in hand it is difficult to tell the difference.

Hmmm, since they are technically counterfeit; you reckon the Secret Service would be legally bound to confiscate them?

They are demonitized silver certificates and no they are not "counterfiet" even back in the 40's. So no the Secret Service would have NO interest.

Well, technically they are a form of a counterfeit... I disagree with you on that assertion. But no, don't worry about it, don't try to spend it as regular money.
