I came across this seller on ebay, who was selling a load of coins with a back-story. The coins were supposed to have been found in a safe of a property that the seller was demolishing. An amazing collection to be sure. I looked at the sold listings, and there were impressive past sales (recent). Feedback was mostly positive and everything seemed to check out. I threw a few bids at some really nice stuff. i.e. an 1877 1 Cent MS65RB NGC. I wanted to share this seller with the forum to get people's opinion. When I went to fetch a link, all of the items are gone. Any idea what happened here? Seller name: thedockter Check sold listings.

Maybe he/she took an offer for all that was left? Maybe the owner of the property that was demolished found out what was in the safe?

More than likely someone reported him to ebay and his listings were removed.

I actually thought the feedback was not bad. I took into account that this seller was very new and selling unfamilar items (according to the story) it would be expected that they mess up and send the wrong coin a few times. When you consider that they have sold some multi thousand dollar coins and did not get negatives for those...

I'm a bit confused about all the comments on this seller. People say he/she/they are cracking cases from those purchased from HA to sell them without disclosing know issues or graded state. So you're telling me a person would buy thousands of coins where they sold at a high premium at HA compared to what they'd get going to ebay ESPECIALLY with the buyers and sellers fee involved. So a coin sells for $5k at HA, this person buys it at that price PLUS pays a buyers premium just to risk posting it on ebay and NOT even make the money back? How does that work? Lastly, I want to say as an individual who is NOT A COLLECTOR and doesn't know much about coins, but knows enough about making a profit and can research coins and values, why would a Collector List a coIn AND OFFER a 30-day rerun policy? I do similar things when I sell and am unfamiliar with some things— many things on some items, so I post what I know and let the experts decide for bidding? I let others who are supposedly EXPERTS use their expertise. After all I can admit I am not an expert, and while collectors have an abundance of knowledge unless you've bought a coin from this seller, inspected it first yourself, and had it graded using only a reputable organization, then you can't say ANYTHING.

99.3% positive rating over last month and 99.8% positive over last year. Sounds great to me.

I've bought a few coins from this seller this past month. I've had no issues. However, as of yesterday, he has removed all his listings that I had bids on. Not sure why.
