This is a 1946 cent that I've always liked the lustrous steel blue-grey colouring of. Both lustre and colour are difficult to capture in pictures so it show's much better in hand. Opinions on the grade please? Cheers, Bill Edited by Hounddog Bill 11/12/2018 3:55 pm

Certainly no worse than AU-58. Possibly 64BN.

I would guess AU - MS-60 from the picture, I like toned pennies I also have a set through the 40's and 50's of toned 1 cent copper coins

1943 to 1946 1-cent coins always yield beautiful toning... I have picked up a number of examples (raw) over the years quite cheap...
I am sure it is much more vibrant in hand - thanks for sharing.

I would say it's an AU55 or 58...not mint state.

It looks like there is a bit of wear on the king's hair

Definitely an AU. How I've seen these in MS63 holders before.

Many thanks to all for the assistance. I'd agree AU also but with the patina it's barely noticeable in hand.
Cheer's, Bill
