1976-D Bicentennial Quarter...error Or Post-Minting Damage?

laferri2 New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 11/13/2018 12:34 am Good evening! I have an unusual 1976-D Bicentennial Quarter. It has an indented ring that is exactly the circumference of a Jefferson nickel. I cannot figure out if this is a mint error or if it is post-minting damage. It can be seen that this ring has resulted in a wide spread of the I and a clipping of the T in "In God We Trust".
