ok so I do have a question. I was looking over some of my coins and only this time did I notice that my 1968S Jefferson nickel seems to have swirls in the metal on the reverse. one swirl over the "Unum" and one to the 7:00. ive had this for awhile and when I got it it was in a 5 nickel sized flat coin holder. where ive left it and it still is. so I guess the big question would be are those from post mint or during minting, right? but really all feedback is awesome.

thanks again

Unfortunately, those spots are post-mint damage. There is nothing in the minting process to create that and I'm doubting that it is caused by other machinery. It may be purely manmade damage for unknown reasons. Keep searching!
