Hey guys been collecting for about 4 years. Started in my 20's, and I must say I don't think I could have stumbled on a better hobby. It has been very profitable to me and I have not stumbled upon a shipwreck of any sorts. Received this Morgan in a trade guy said it was handed down his family. Seemed like a genuine nice guy plus I wasn't losing any money anyways. Just have a question about the toning and the cracking at the bottom on the reverse.

On CCF, a Morgan dollar is considered a Classic Coin, so I moved your post to the appropriate section for the proper attention.

Please review the forum section descriptions, so posts are made in the correct section.

1. Your images are bit tough to deal with.
2. The "cracking" at the bottom of the reverse could be because of a die break. I need a full image of the reverse to get a better idea of what happened.
3. There appears to be a lot of "noise" on the obverse in the prime areas (cheek and the field in front of the face). Possibly a GSA coin; lots of them had that problem. Need a better image.
4. Reflections on the obverse might indicate a cameo surface.

Can you show us straight-on, full images of both sides, please?

It's a legit coin for sure, and a nice one. Sharper images with less glare will help us with your specific questions.
