I found this 1963 D LMC with what appears to be an extra eye lid south of the main eye lid CRH and can find no match with it on any site. I am also including a pic of the reverse of the first A in AMERICA where you can see the die scratches. Insight please.

I strongly hope you will send this one to Mr. Wexler. There are a lot of missing photos of attributed coins for 1963-D Lincolns on doubleddie.com, but it would seem that if a known variety is sent in, then it will be used as the plate coin and photos will go up. That was the case for the WDDO-033 I sent in, which now has photos up. You won't get any credit or anything as someone else already discovered it, but you will own the plate coin for that WDDO and the rest of us can then figure it out as well.

Of course, it may be new and then you've got a listing with your credit to it and the plate coin! But then you would knock my WDDO-050 out of last place in line...

Send that one in as it will be helpful no matter the attribution.

I sure will my friend. I look forward to hearing his results on this and the 2010 D LSC I found yesterday. This has been an amazing bank box. 5 DDO's found so far.

Verdict is in, John Wexler says this is MD. What type of MD would do this to an eyelid?

I was thinking die flow lines. The angle is not correct for an eyelid.

Have you looked at the 1963 D IDO-010 on coppercoins? That one doesn't either.

I just received an email from Mr. Wexler. In that email he said he made a mistake attributing my 1963 D. He also stated that he looked at only the fields and devises and did not look at the eyelid. He is a very good human being and I appreciate such a kind email and he had asked me to resend it to him to look at it again.
