Hi All,

I don't own a coin to show.

I am interested in purchasing a british coin from around 1100 to 1600ad. I am curious for their value, I respect your opinions more then a book.

If any member has some for sale , I would be very interested in prices etc.

Thanks,Lars

Henry III (1216-1272) and Edward I (1272-1307) pennies are the way to go. Decent ones are readily available for £30-£40, which is about $10 either side of $60.

Here's a link to some;

MCHammered and Andy Bruce are the best two. Andy because he owns the site and MCH because he lives in the US. So if you're an American he's a useful contact to have.

Edward I are probably the nicest to start with, minted during the William Wallace era and less crude looking than the Henry III stuff. Edward I coins are on the third page
