I recently acquired a grab bag of world banknotes. In the bag were a handful of uncirculated notes from Africa and Asia. Each of these notes is in a plastic sleeve and on each sleeve is an icon of the country's flag. For example, see photo below.

I'm sure the notes aren't valuable, but they seem to be part of a set. I wonder who distributed the set: Franklin Mint, Littleton, etc.

Any ideas?

I suppose these are decals, as opposed to stickers?

Or printed on the sleeve itself?

The flag icon and country name is printed directly on the sleeve. I have about twenty of these from different countries. I'm sure it's some "banknote of the month club" but I'm not sure who issued the set. Just curious who issued the set.

The other language on the sticker is Chinese, and it's given top position (Chinese in large font, then English in smaller font). So I would assume it is of Chinese/Taiwanese origin.

The sticker doesn't name any company of origin - the five Chinese characters are simply the Chinese name for Eritreia (È Lì Tè L#464; Y#462;). In my experience, companies that produce "banknote of the month" sets can't help but advertise themselves on their products, and this is not the case here.

So I suspect that it was just some private collector, who went and bought a set of "flags of the world" stickers and stuck them onto their banknote sleeves. In which case, the stickers are of Chinese origin, but the collector could have been from anywhere.
