Hi All, I have been collecting a few tokens, mostly the last decade of the 1700's.
I have a particular interest in the battle of Waterloo and previous English/French wars/battles. Are there many tokens related to the Waterloo period? I have the glorious 1st June token and a few others similar along with the map of France token. Any help or advice on where to and what to look for would be great. Many thanks

A good one-volume reference is

The Token Book
published by Galata 2010
ISBN 978-0-9543162-8-0

By now there might be a newer edition. It has some brief butgood introductory chapters, but is mostly a catalogue.

For an overall history of the British trade tokens ( called "conder" tokens in the US after an early catalogue ) try

Trade Tokens
A Social and Economic History
by J R S Whiting
published by David&Charles 1971

For historical details about specific tokens try the series of books by R C Bell. These are quite old now, getting rare and expensive.

Hope this helps.
