I'm not seeing a doubled die. But to me it looks more like a dropped letter and the other parts fell off above that area of debris that was filling the die?
The die gets blocked with fine string/fibers/grit and grease. Then it falls onto the coin and get struck between the die and the planchet. This making it show part of the letter incuse on that area.
No. The condition would make it cost more than you would gain on the coin. I figure if the coin is in the $100+ range then it would be worth it. But That is my opinion.
