I don't see anything wrong with it. Am I missing something?

It looks to me like the coin is reversed there are no high points.
Like the coin was carved?

I have seen a number of pictures that look like "negatives" for a better word. I have also then gone and looked at the picture again later and it all looks fine.

Have you ever seen "Magic Eye" artwork? It's like that.

The pic of this coin looks fine to me. Either that or my eyes are too tired to see what you're talking about.

Had some folks over tonight they all said the listing looked inverted -
Also did you read the description of this coin?

I did read the description. I think he's hyping it a bit much, but overall he seems to be describing the coin accurately. Hopefully someone else will respond to this thread also. Maybe it looks inverted on your screen because of the resolution. I have definitely seen coin pictures like you're describing, but this one looks fine to me.

I Believe it's the lighting used while photographing the coin, very low angle which makes them look this way.
So far as the description goes, it's a selller with a "good" Buffalo coin who happens to believe it's "great"and hes proud of it. That is all as far as I can tell. The only negative is the "no return" policy.
Rest in Peace

In my opinion its phoney or had a real bad planchet. Since it is a reall common variety I would guess it was struck on a thin planchet. Just a guess however. I would never bid on such a coin.

I dont think there is anything that appears fake about the coin, I think it Has been cleaned and then the scan has taken the luster out of it,

I still would not bid on a coin like this to hard to tell what you would be getting .

I don't see anything about this particular coin that looks special. Just a run of the mill cleaned can circulated Buffalo. The description is fine, hyped yes, but fine. I do agree with the seller that the Buffalo series will see an increase with the new nickel release. Starting the auction at one Cent seems very fair to me. The current bid of $1.25 seems to be a decent price.

It's up to $2.01 now, and I wouldn't give him much more than that for it!
