Hey everyone!

I was looking through my pennies and found this. I'm just curious what would cause this ring. I'm guessing it's not worth anything special, but I'm just wanting to know out of curiosity.

It is a 2015 penny, and, as the picture shows, it has a little perfect silver circle on it (it looks pretty neat!)

To the CCF

This one of the most asked questions on the forum.
Probably due to the amount of them out there.
It is caused by a coin wrapping/counting machine.
Not an error, it's PMD.
No extra value but you can keep it as a novelty.

Agree, wrapping/counting machine - a rather perfect example!

as previously stated. The silver circle is the exposed zinc core that lays under the thin copper plating that's been scraped away. Thanks, Doug.
