Hello, I'm new here, Hope this all goes well. Found a quarter that seems to have doubled features all over the reverse. Could not locate any information out on the www, so perhaps this is new.
2010-D-Or-Mt.-Hood-Quarter-Possible-Doubled-Reverse Here's the entire reverse.

2010-D-Or-Mt.-Hood-Quarter-Possible-Doubled-Reverse Here is a photo of where I took three closeups.

And down on the rim here's a closeup of the letters "OREGON" that shows some notching and some of the more usual type of doubled features found on these State Quarters.

I've been camping on this for a few months looking for info, not really knowing what to do, but nothing has appeared. I have another couple of quarters to post perhaps new error varieties about as well, but I'll do just this one 25¢ to see how this goes and whether my post has fatal errors that would make me have to do it over.

This is my first post! GO ME! I ROCKS!! YAYYYYY!

to the forum!

The doubling on OREGON is actually Machine Doubling. Because those letters are incuse, a doubled die would actually make the letters thinner. (Note E PLURIBUS UNUM on 2011 1¢ DDR-001).

I can't really see if there's anything in the other pics, it's a little blurry. Can you get better pics?

Thank you very much for your help! I could post some comparison pictures of the same areas, I have only a Hp scanner to make photo's with. I gotta go to a Dr's appt right now (They say I've got some enabled disablements) Got only a scanner for pics due to resource allocations it's not going to change soon, but I'll do that in about 3-4 hours when I get back.

Thank you very much for your time

Wexler's site show no DDR's for that ATB State. But the doubling is usually confined to the cent er of the design. A lot of the arrows on your coins image are on contact areas on the coins designs. If you would like to look at that series to see exactly what to look for on these ATB Quarters, You will save a lot of searching time.

IE: The 2013-P DDR on the Rushmore coins is more on just one area:

2010-D-Or-Mt.-Hood-Quarter-Possible-Doubled-Reverse
2010-D-Or-Mt.-Hood-Quarter-Possible-Doubled-Reverse

The list goes on on these. But it will help you to find the target areas for these single squeeze doubled dies. Save the searches for the target areas.

Hi, Thank you all so much. I am a bit tardy, My eyes were 'dialated' at the dr's yesterday and it took a while to wear off. I tried for hours last night to get better images out of my scanner, but it was more like imagining better scans. That was primarily why I had waited for months working on getting good scans from all the angles under the lid of a bunch of coins. Even put a heavy tool bag on the top to try and 'bow' down the center of the glass to get the parts of the coins that are above the glass (where most sheet scanners are focused at)down a bit closer.

I wished I'd taken a few coins to the eye doctors yesterday, Now THAT man had some mighty fine optics in that place of his, the half hour I had to wait I could've used that time wisely.... and had them all smudged up just like mine at home lol, any way I'm needing some advice also on 3 possible 1988 LMC RDV-006 candidates I found, pretty hopeful about a couple of them. But coins are new to me. I was a philatelist as a boy with no money. Gave the stamps to my sons when they were young, still not very good at collecting money, but finding a bunch of interesting coins lately

Thanks for your advice :) Thank you very much
