1972 Proof Set With Fingerprint - Coin Community Forum

CryptoQueen New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 11/29/2018 07:31 am Hello all. I'm new here so I hope I'm posting in the correct forum. I have a 1972 proof set, bought by a very credible seller with a good reputation, but the penny clearly has a fingerprint on the obverse. The casing doesn't appear to be tampered with at all. The set hasn't been tampered with. Surprise, not every coin in a proof set is perfect. And back then I don't believe you could return/exchange sets. Not the first time I have seen this in an early modern proof set.
