The entire reverse and obverse outer edges of this coin have a complete trenched groove, I have seen many with incomplete groove but this is the first one I have seen uninterrupted.
Any thoughts on how is may have occurred?

Thanks

It maybe a new obverse die?
Or a new collar?
Or just a good strike?
Probably no premium for this. But often that area is altered to make magician coins.

But your coin looks normal.

I am not looking for a monetary value, just curious to know the cause.
I saw an article about this strike a few years ago by Ken Potter for this exact anomaly, I wish I had saved it ( as Coop always advises to!) But I wasn't the Forum member by then, know better now

Ken Potter
koinpro
each separately to see what comes up. You might find it that way?
