I was sufring through ebay and found that double sided copies are prohibited on ebay and illegal.
Questions I have:
Is there any way to buy double sided, actual size, good quality copies of expensive bills? I mean something better than home printer can make.
Is having double sided, actual size bills illegal in US? Having, not trying to spend or sell like genuine.

Long story short, anything that is double sided and the same size as a real bill, is indeed , illegal to possess.

Read. Thank you.
Possession of counterfeit United States obligations with fraudulent intent is a violation of Title 18, Section 472 of the United States Code and is punishable by a fine of up to $15,000, or 15 years imprisonment, or both.
Without fraud intentions illegal too? Quite strong law.
For comparison, in Russia having fake 1:1 bills is legal, but illegal trying to spend it. That's why I was confused.

Indeed, "fradulent intent" is the key phrase. Lots of people own counterfeit money and coins without intent to deceive anyone else.

I think what might fit the bill are souvenir cards. The BEP has been printing these since 1969, many from the original engraved plates, so some are nicer specimens than most collectors could ever afford if they were shopping for issued notes. Many notes have examples of both front and back printed on separate cards, so you could create your own double sided note if you were so inclined.

If you'd like to see images of all the various Bureau cards, you can find them here: http://www.souvenircards.org/galler...b-index.html
