I have a coin with a similar marking but on mine it is smaller and only on one side. What it looks like to me is something highly acidic spilled on to my coin or in your case the coin was dipped in acid. I could be wrong I am still new to coin collecting. That would make it PMD and not an error.

BigThumb! Yours looks different to me. Maybe you should start a new topic about it instead of tacking on here.

It may well be effects of acid, but it may also be an actual error. As E&V said, Struck Through Grease seems most likely. A lamination flaw would not create that nice of a circle. An accurate weight of it to 1/100th gram could help if you can get that measurement. It doesn't look like impact damage because of how it overlaps raised features. Having a good pic of the entire coin and both sides will certainly help: most importantly, what it looks like on the other side directly opposite the obverse anomaly.

Thank you everyone! The coin weighs 5.67g. I found some other marks on the coin that I think may be errors. I will provide more photos shortly.

5.67 grams is exactly normal. It must be a "struck-through" error or damaged mechanically. Acid would eat the metal and create a lower weight reading.

Looks like as mentioned grease struck through with grit leaving the field rough looking.

The hole that appears here just seems to be some damage to me.

BigThumb, the reverse shows a small stain and scratches, whuch is Post Strike Damage ( PSD). On the obverse, you have a legitimate error coin, that was Struck Through Grease with grit mixed with it. It's a keeper.
