I recently got into coin collecting because my son got interested in coin collecting. So, for about a year we've been buying coins from family and friends. We've been educating ourselves and I just recently found this forum. I have several questions:

What is the best way to get an idea on grade of my coins? Is there anyone here who I could send pictures to that would help me understand the condition of my coin? When is it best to get a coin professionally graded?

I'm also wondering if any of you have ideas for where I can find large amounts of unchecked coins? Do I have to go to estate sales? I see some advertised on Etsy as being unsearched, but I'm not sure I trust people there. Does any member here have ideas for where we may find some? Any information would get much appreciation from me and my son.

I think PCGS Photograde is a good place to learn about grading and grades.
