Australian 1966 2 Cent Double Error?

To my untrained eye, this 1966 2 cent coin might have a doubling error. But I'm not sure. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

It looks like it yeah, though there's not much mention of doubling on decimal coins.
There was an article in the Australasian Coin and Banknote Magazine maybe this year that mentioned some known decimal coins with doubling but from memory a 2 cent piece wasn't on the list.

to CCF. It looks a lot like MD to me,not a true doubled die.
