After scrutinizing your coin again I'm of the opinion it very well may be a die #3 no D weak reverse. Definitely worth the fee for grading by NGC or PCGS that would settle the matter. ANACS does not recognize nor annotate any 1922 example as no D except die pair #2 strong reverse so consider that if you choose a TPG. Great find. The pictures of the 22 weak D die #1 I loaded are of the same coin obv. and rev. because of the difficulty getting a decent shot of it's holder had to get creative with editing. Think you can still see the smudged MM though, in hand its even fainter.

OP's coin is too worn and well circulated to even assess a definitive weak or no weak reverse and there is no trace of D evident! This coin will attribute as NO D.

Chase, I agree with you. These weak D's / no D weak reverses are something else. Riewis87 what are your plans for this one? What an amazing find. There are some varied opinions on these rascals and hopefully BadThad will chime in on this one, he has these things down pat. Coin looks Good 4 to me but I am not real hot at grading 22's their tricky. Nice premium on the no D's, low grade coins with no problems are hammering at $225.00-247.00 Fine and VF at $320 ish and XF examples just don't appear often for sale.

Quote: Lucky coin roll find Congrats! I've found a 22D (with a strong mintmark) myself. Looks like a no D to me.

Well I'll send it off to PCGS as soon as I figure out what others to send. I have 4 vouchers, sadly they don't count on error and variety attributes.
