I found one today on the bank of a lake. it's in poor condition, no legible date. about the only thing I can tell is the eagle on the back side appears centered. stars, covered breast or not does not apply, this coin is severely worn. however I see that it's 90% silver, so thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated, thanks to all.

Unfortunately, it is probably only worth the bullion value. :(

so would you keep it or sell it for bullion? I haven't checked for bullion prices, this find kinda caught me by surprise. I'm not a avid coin collector other than wheat pennies.

I keep every coin older than 30 years that I find, even though you can't see almost anything on all but one of them. It's often said that silver is worth 12x the face value (someone correct this if it's wrong). It's up to you to calculate.
