I found this 1974 D LMC with GOD WE TRUST, the IN is nowhere to be found. Yes, I know its a Greaser but there are no traces of Grease Fill anywhere else on this cent with no trace of the word IN anywhere. Which makes it 2x2 worthy in my book!

Very nice find Jim! I would keep that one! The word "IN" is completely gone with no traces if it. You could get maybe 2 dollars, if you put it up on ebay.

I won't sell it. I'll pass it down.

I remember finding a very similar Greaser like yours. I'll have to find that post.

After looking hard for my old Greaser post, here it is Jim. http://goccf.com/t/315505&whichpage=1

Jim;

You posted;"Yes, I know its a Greaser but there are no traces of Grease Fill anywhere else on this cent."

I'm a bit confused with that. Is it necessary for a genuine Greaser to have multiple traces of Grease Fill on the coin ?

I wouldn't so necessarily.

Panther, no, not necessarily. But for the most part you can see the effects of a Grease Filled Die on multiple devises. Also, there are a lot of cents that will be missing, say the L in LIBERTY, with no other devises affected all caused by a Grease Filled Die.
