Has your brother expressed interest in coin collecting? If so, great, if not, don't push it on him.

I would also go with USSID gift suggestion over spending $40 on coin items for someone that may or may not be interested.

If he hasn't shown an interest, you'll be wasting your money. I tried to get my kids interested years ago. Still no interest on their part and I use to drag them to coin shows where it might spark some interest. I even started birth year collections for them, still nothing. They have to want to do it.

Now that you mention it, he is very interested in war, and war weapons

Have you considered the WWI commemorative? Or maybe going back for others, like the WW2 series? If he doesn't take to collecting, they could still be interesting pieces for him.

My eight year old daughter expressed interest while I was roll hunting. She began to fill her Whitman Lincoln Cent folder and loved finding wheat cents! Unfortunately, later on the Iphone came into her life, along with her need for social status.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72

That was my exact first thought about the OP's 9 year old brother. It would be a major accomplishment just to pull him away from his computer games and iphone for an hour!

I just got back from the store. I took this picture for you.
That is pretty cool.

I was actually maybe looking to give him closer to 40$ in value
Two rolls of Ikes.

Whatever you get him, I am sure he will appreciate it.

Thank you everyone. I actually just showed him some toned coins, and he fell in love.
