Ok, threw it under the scope again and noticed something else. This line (cut?) looks like some kid had too much time on his hands, a sharp object and daddy's pocket change. Shame an old survivor had to undergo some brat's torture. The cut goes all around the coin.

According to this clashing overlay from VAMWorld, the outline you see doesn't make sense as a clash.
